Swans throughout the 1980s were one of the most influential post-punk bands fresh out of the New York No Wave scene, and one of the very few who managed to stayintact into the late 1990s when they disbanded. After reforming in January of this year, Swans have recently released a fan funded single alongside a US tour and a headline slot at the Supersonic Festival in Birmingham preceding their show here. Their new line up promises to be as formidable as the early, brutal and growling noise albums they made their mark with.
